The rules for using our site and services

These Terms of Use govern your use of soccacanada.ca and Socca Canada’s services. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1.Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, registering a team, making a donation, or otherwise using the site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2.Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years of age to participate in Socca Canada competitions.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your password confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.Acceptable Use
- Do not use the site for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, hack, or overload the site or its infrastructure.
- Do not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
4.Tournament Registration & Rosters
Tournament registration is subject to the complete Rules & Regulations of the competition, which you accept at the time of registration. These cover player eligibility, roster integrity, and conduct & discipline.
- Each player may be registered to and play for only one team for the entire duration of a tournament.
- Fielding an ineligible or double-registered player may result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fees.
- Rosters are locked at the registration deadline.
5.Payments & Refunds
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
- Registration fees are non-refundable unless the tournament is cancelled by the organizer.
- Donations are non-refundable.
- All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
6.Intellectual Property
The Socca Canada name, logos, text, graphics, and content are owned by Socca Canada or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission, except as permitted by law.
7.User Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as team and player names), but you grant us the right to use it for the purpose of operating the competitions and promoting the event. You confirm that you have the right to submit that content.
8.Disclaimers & Assumption of Risk
- The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind.
- All participants take part entirely at their own risk.
- Participants are responsible for their own medical or health insurance.
- The person registering a team confirms they are authorized to act on behalf of the entire team and accepts these terms on behalf of every player.
9.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Socca Canada, its organizers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and venue partners are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to persons or property occurring before, during, or after a competition, nor for any damages arising from your use of the site. You release and waive any claims against Socca Canada to the extent permitted by law.
10.Third-Party Links & Services
The site may contain links to third-party sites (for example, Stripe, the International Socca Federation). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
11.Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable province or territory, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
12.Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows the last revision. By continuing to use the site after a change, you accept the revised terms.
